Our roe deer season for bucks and yearling does started yesterday with beautifull weather. This event for any hor-blooded German hunter is more important than Christmas and Easter combined (I am exaggerating just a little). Me, I spend a wonderfull morning in the woods, seeing a pregnant doe and a big female fox, followed by a Weißbier brunch with the other hunters in the Forsthaus's yard. In the evening I shot a wild pig of about 50 kgs., no deer seen at all... How did you guys do? | ||

Ah the joys of Germanic life... . Weidmannsheil on your piggie! In Kanton Zurich of Switzerland, the 1st of May is a public holiday, so no hunting is allowed (go figure). Today, the hunters will be out in throngs... - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon...
