Looking for a hunt in Scotland 2 couples, just 2 hunters for roe deer and and any other species . Need a guide for the wives to sightsee and do the local thing for 3 days while we hunt . Want to do a 5 day holiday. One day of sightseeing the 2 couples.
Arrive a sunday and leave fri or sat.
Lodge or B+B either works.

Looking to set up for 2014 , next summer.

Please let me know what you have avail if your a PH or Outfitter in Scotland, England would work but would like to see Edinburgh area.

To me the only hunt to do in Scotland is for Red Deer in the Highlands. I really like Royal Deeside but there are many good areas. I suggest that you google "Red Deer Stalking". You will find some write ups and a few booking agents.

I will be going Red Deer Stalking in two months. I found a lot of guides but they charge a lot more than going directly to an estate. So I ended up going directly to an estate.

I suggest that you spend a few days in Edinburgh and then head to the Highlands for the stalking.

But you will probably need 5 days in the highlands for 3 days of Stalking, The keeper/stalker will often make the Stalk weather dependent and the weather does get bad in the Highlands sometimes.

Have a look at these guys. I stayed there last July and hunted 4 Roe Bucks. They will organise all your hunting and sightseeing. The food is out of this world too.

Check out Mike McCrave, "The Man in the Kilt." He has a package that involves hunting and sightseeing--when I hunted with him a few years ago he had along with him a registered tour guide. I hunted free-range red stag outside Brora, on the North Sea way up in the Highlands. Hunted several days & then got the grand tour. It was a great trip! http://www.huntingvacationscotland.com/

I agree that if you are going to come all the way to Scotland then you should at least give consideration to stalking red deer in a highland/open hill setting. It really is iconic Scottish stalking and it will almost certainly provide you with a holiday to remember.
