I'd like to visit a genuine British game fair or
similiar. Preferably not too far from london.

Do you have any suggestions and or comments?

The big show each year would definitely be the CLA gamefair held at the end of July. It is a three day event and you probably need all three days to see it all.

This year was at Blenheim which is easily reachable from London, but I'm not sure of next years venue off hand.

It's good fun and a great place to meet lots of people n the industry.

I'm probably going to have a stand there next year so you should drop by for a glass of something if you do go along.

As Kiri says, the CLA Game Fair is the big one - in 2012 it's on from the 20th to the 22nd of July at Belvoir (pronounced 'beaver') Castle in Leicestershire. Otherwise, the other big one is the Midland Game Fair at Weston Park in Staffordshire next September.

I'll be at both, helping out my friend Richard Dunham on the Stalkers UK stand.

I dragged the family to the midlands game fair last weekend and I've got to say it was fantastic! The kids even had a good time due largly to the mondo inflatable slide. Dad got to have a beer and kidlets got donuts, what else could one ask for?

I understand there is a fair at Bisley next weekend but I'm not sure what it's like. I'll go take a look on Friday if anyone wants to meet up.

I'm gonna keep an eye at the CLA for next year.

It would be great fun if I'm still in Europe at the time (applying for some jobs in your former colonies etc.).
