Slightly off topic for a hunting forum I know but, there's a reason for the question. With the increased acceptance of social networking sites like; Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. Has this had an affect on the traffic volumes seen on specialist forums such as AR? It is universally accepted that whilst there may be 10's of thousands of register forum members across the world only a very small proportion of those are regular active posters on the various main forums The hunting, shooting, and fishing world is a relatively small one especially here in the UK. The same old familiar names cropping up on various fora are evidence to that fact. Eventually a section of those same old names form alliances, and associations sometime across international boundaries sometimes restricted to the location, region or country. Contact details are exchanged and the proliferation of private groups on Facebook et.al. ensues. There by negating the communal felt need to be apart of the various forums. I’m guilty of following that trend. As I find the convenience, the commonality of mind set and shared experiences provides a more harmonious means of staying in touch, proliferating ideas and seeking solutions . I just wonder who else was too? | ||
