Has anybody called a brown bear in ?

I recently managed to tease 2 brownies to within 30 a 40 metres with an electronic call

I wonder if its just luck, coincidence or they really did respond to it

Ben, in these PC times, using the phrase 'I managed to tease two Brownies' on an internet forum is likely to get you included in the Jimmy Saville inquiry... shocker

My joke clearly got lost in translation - you just carry on stalking and teasing Brownies (or any other junior members of the international Girl Guides movement for that matter).

I managed to land a nice Brownie on Sunday at a reservoir on Dartmoor.
Caught on a large Montana in water the colour of Coca Cola.

No policemen called, nor once-popular entertainers either.

In the UK a Brownie is generally taken to mean a wild brown trout (Salmo trutta).

I hope the name isn't going to be hijacked into some alternate dark side.
I get funny looks if I say I'm going "Dogging in" around the shoot on the farm next door.

Ah

finally a fellow hunter

May I ask which call you find they respond to best ?

I was using an injured fawn sound and was hoping for wolves to respond but 2 brownies came out

Fantastic

Next time I need 3 barrel for a triple rifle

What do you think of this ...

Fake ?

http://www.cabelas.ca/product/...ardner-predator-call

this is the one that worked and still works for me ....

id look into your yutube link ... but i ve myself seen enough bears to come to me that i dont let a camera around and keep focused on what s going on ...

yes a triple express barrell might be a very good option ...

never heard about wolf calling but doesnt mean you cant ... we can speak with them when howling if they want i again experienced that for two nights 10 days ago. coyotes for sure will come but wolf will come on gut piles more than on a call ...

i have a small video of a young grizzly feeding on fish in a small creek and he never came to the call but stayed only 10 meters from us. so not always working especially if a good source of food is available and the denning time is close.
