Hello all,

I wonder if any of you can recommend a good insurance company here in the UK who will cover higher value weapons against loss and damage?

I found someone called Guninsure but their online quote system freaked out when I put in the value of my guns. I'd like cover for 2 shotguns and one of my rifles (with scope), replacement values about 13K, 10K and 5K.

Many thanks in advance...

Eric.

Eric,

i have got all of my guns insured with NFU mutual, all gun stuff is added on to my household insurance.
i have only ever had to claim once for gun related stuff.
they dealt with it very quickly and had a settlement in no time.

there should be a local NFU office to you.

Try Hiscox. They insure firearms under home contents policy. The policy costs, like all other insurance ploicies, is related to total value of contents insiured. It only starts to get expensive above 42K contents value.

What I liked about Hiscox was, when I spoke to them on the phone, they brought up firearm insurance as part of their policy cover under contents and were completly un-phased about firearms etc.

Others would have had kittens.
