Hi I recently purchase a Mauser made by J. Albrecht in Detmold Germany. Has anyone ever heard of him? It is a very nice piece and I would like to know more about it.

Thanks,
Jon

Not to be mean, but a few pictures can help people remember some information.

I have a few old books to look in.

I know, sorry I don't have a digital camera. I will try to take some pics and scan them in. It is made in the typical european sporter fashion, with a half-octagon barrel with matted rib and thin german stock w/schnabel forend. It has buffalo horn buttplate and gripcap. The stock appears take-down? with a wedge going through the forearm.
