Hi guys,

I'm doing the dates this year for my sydicate and part of the expansion is that we are looking to put on a single let day to leave me marginally less out of pocket at the end of the year!!

Anyway I though I would offer it about here first to see if anyone would be interested. It will be Saturday 8th November and we can stand upto 12 guns. Very informal and good fun. The birds will have been driven twice before so any partridges should be interesting and the pheasants will be well feathered up by then.

We'd be looking to shoot a mixed bag of 90-110 ish birds at £25/bird. however I can offer some limited highseat fallow for free to anyone that is interested in coming. Breakfast and food and wine are included in the shoot hut. Birds going down on the ground will be 1500 pheasants, 500 Partridge, 500/600 ducks, and will mainly be driven from cover crops, although there is also some woodland.

We are based in Sussex near Tunbridge wells, so easy access from Gatwick, and I'd be happy to help with import permits for anyone coming from abroad.

I was going to advertise this but thought ~I'd offer it here first.

Paul,

Fine by me if we can get a full team together. Otherwise I'll have to advertise the full day for a team.

I'll keep you posted on how it develops.

I need this written in American. Roll Eyes Pardon my ignorance of driven bird shooting.

Does each shooter pay 25 pounds per bird he shoots or is there a daily fee for all shooters? How many are in a "team"?

I am interested but need more details? Can I use a machine shotgun? clap (That's a joke, guys)

Hi Kim,

How's it going?

Yes it would be about £250 per gun assuming 100 birds shot in the bag. It might be 110 it mmight be 85 in these instances there's no exact science.

The fallow stalking would be on my own ground out of a high seat probably on the Friday evening. There is a lmited ammount of high seats available though. I should think I'd be able to get 7 stalkers out comfortably, and it should be the tail end of the Rut.

Accomodation is available nearby in a Travel Lodge about 5-6 miles away. There is a nice pub at the top of the lane that does food for Friday night so we could book a room there and all have a big dinner or after the shoot. If I do dinner after the shoot then it would beincluded in the price, bbut if we go to the pub then I'd negotiate a fixed price meal with them for about £12 which would be paid to them by those involved.

Drives would be 5-7 depending how well we shoot. Typically I would expect 6 game drives and a duck drive.

Gatorago,

Did you get my PM?

Rgds,
K

You'll have a lot of fun if you go.

Fallow Buck's shoot is strongly thumb in my experience.

I am sure that when it comes to the duck guests will ask the host to have available a suitable quantity of NON LEAD shot available? Especially those that like "odd" calibres such as 16, 20 or nowadays the old 2 1/2" 12!

Hi guys,

It looks like Vintage guns has taken the day here, but he has spaces. PG, you mentioned that you had some guys interested, so if you would like to come along could you ring Dig and book through him please. I had to get the day sold, so I hope that isn't too much hassle.

He has also put on the day that if anyone would like to use one of his old hammerguns they will be available free of charge, alkthough you will need to buy the shells.

Best regards,
FB
