Anyone out there? I was hoping to get some upgraded wood for my Blaser R93 and there seem to be some companies out there that sell it. Not sure if they are any good though, so I need soem advice and perhaps some help with the language.
Peter.

Peter,

Try either one of these;

http://www.kilic-feintechnik.d...products%5Bcat%5D=23

http://www.schaftholz.com/en/R93/

I've seen alot of Kilic's work and it appear to me they're about 60% of what Blaser charges for the same grade of wood.

Cheers,

Gerry, thanks very much. Those links were ones I looked at a year or so ago. I was interested in anyone having first hand knowledge of their products.
Peter.

Luxus has blanks in the $1200 range. Too rich for my blood.

Peter,

Well, not exactly 1st hand ..... had a Buddy who almost made the jump on a €1000,- finished R93 Buttstock/Forearm from them that would have stopped traffic. They claim just like the Blaser stocks - they're a drop-in fit. While I'm sure they could provide any wood grade desired they tend to the Luxus & above grades because that's what folks want to move up to.

They have a well-stocked (pun intended) booth at the Dortmund Show every year (end January - beginning Febuary) and we've always stopped to take a look at their wares. I've no problem with German but many of my military Buddies not; and they've always managed to communicate, the English translation on their website is good, too.

Cheers,
