I've seen an article on moose hunting in your regions. Your governments pay a lot of attention to the calibers used and how many shots needed. As well as range used.
Now for the question: Can any one provide the info for me, please?

This has been discussed in the past here.Do a search on this section. The minimum is the 6.5x55 but not all loads are acceptable.The moose there are smaller than those in N America.Most common cartridges are 308 ,30-06 with 300 WM ,338 W, and 9.3x62 also popular IIRC.

I have found some statistiks;
https://www.finnskogenalg.nu/kaliber9097.pdf

A short Swedish dictionary;
Kaliber - Caliber
Antal älgar - Number of mooses
Antal skott - Average number of shots needed
Medelavstånd - Average distance
Flyktsträcka efter första skottet - Average running distance after first shot

It not the government that has monitored the moose hunts, its the hunters associations that has been active.

Legal requriements for moose is above 6,5 mm bore and 160 grains bullet weight at no less than 760 m/s Vo.

Those are the terms here in Sweden, others may vary.

What is the most common caliber here in Sweden well 6,5x55 and 30-06 and 308 Win will probably make up 4/5 of the total of class 1 type rifles.

The rest 1/5 are all others. 8x57, 9,3x57,x62 the magnums and others...

Best regards Chris.
