Some weeks ago I got my hands on some 180.gr Naturalis bullets from Lapua, and loaded them in a 300WM. I used Lapua shells and 76,3 g of Vihtavuori N 165, as I use for my favorite load, using Oryx bullets. The results where bad, and I have heard from others that have tried those new bullets that they are not good. Have any of you used them, and if so what is your opinion of them Sölvi Skype username solvijoh

Hi Solvi What was bad about them? Mark Hunting is getting as close as you can, shooting is getting as far away as possible.

I have some bullets for the 9.3 in Naturalis I bought in the states. I will try them in my rifle and see when I go home. Solid copper bullets aren't as accurate as ones with a lead core. I know this from dealing with the Barnes range. I think it has to do with the increased pressure.

Dear Solvi I see what you mean but this may have more to do with load development on a solid copper bullet. Lapua recommends a max of 76.1 gn of N165 whereas a 180 gn partition would need 80.1gn to achieve the approx same velocity. Try the load development technique on Dans website http://home.earthlink.net/~dannewberry/dannewberrysopti...ightloaddevelopment/ Following his advice I have got most all my bullets to group less than 2cm at 100m. Thw worst that can happen is you shoot 30 rds before you sure whether thay suit your barrel or not. I have used the Naturalis 270 grain 9,3x62 factory load and they group consistently well in my rifle. However, I have not tried them in any other caliber, and I have not used them to develop handloads. My experience with them has been limited, but it has been good.
