Hi, not sure where to post this one, but I'm thinking of getting my trophies from Africa dipped and packed and sent back to the uk, does anyone know of any good taxidermists in the UK that does african game at all? I would be having a Kudu shoulder mounted and several skins tanned.

Gary Tatterton is excellent but like most of them you will be waiting 12 to 18 months for your mounts to come back.

Gary Tatterton did his apprenticeship in the US and is able to take on any big game animals. I have 2 shoulder mounts done by him and his work is faultless.

As I say you will be waiting a while but worth the wait.

His tel. number is 01937 581077

Wolfgang Schenk in Germany is super, and his prices beat the hell out of what you would pay in Britain.

I had thought of doing my German roe buck in England and was told 600 quid.

Schenk wants 450 Euro, including a replacement cape.

Paul,

I talked to this bloke the other day. he comes across as genuine and knowledgeable.

He has a trophy that you may be very interested in. Appears to have had a lot of experience in exactly what you are looking for.

Puntgunner,

That is exactly the guy I've been speaking to already, his prices are very reasonable seems very knowledgeable. Has also given me a name of a good courier / import guy for the trophies so I think I'll be calling him again soon.
