Does anyone have any experience with the meopta meostar 3x12x56? I'm considering one with a #4 reticle for low light shooting. I've got a swarovski PH 2.5x10x56 on one of my rifles and am very impressed with it. I'm looking to scope another rifle with a low light scope and can get the meopta for about half the price of a swarovski, S&B, or Zeiss. How does it compare to these?

The Meopta compares very well. You will get 95% (maybe more) of the Swaro performance for, as you say, half the money.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Two of my hunting pals have Meoptas in 3-12x56 with illuminatet dot.

They are very satiesfied with the scopes, and they actually stay as long in the high seats at night as I do with my Zeiss Victory 3-12x56.

We do a lot of low light hunting for red deer, including nights with moon on snowy fields, and the Meopta has a great number of followers.
lots of scope for the money!

I have two Meoptas, not the Meostar, but both Artemis and am more than pleased with both.

One is 3-9x42 and the second is 2-8x42 both did great in Germany, hi-seats and drive hunts, and Africa on plains game.

Can't beat the price for the quality.

I've one on a hornet. Lovely bit of glass. Back to back with a Leupold VX3 4.5 - 14 x50 on a mates rifle on a moonlit night, I thought it was as good as, if not marginally better. If I could find another at a decent price, I'd have it.

I have looked through them but not hunted with them: my voice goes clearly to a Swarovski... Nothing else for me anymore at the moment.

It must not be the expensive Z6i edition - the Z4i is a premium glas for less money with all You want and need: illuminted reticle, rail AND a very crytal sharp image - which I havenßt seen from any other manufaturer...! Have a look your own!

life is too short for not having the best equipment You could buy...
