Using a cape buffalo gun is the law for marmots in Switzerland?

Nonetheless, thanks for sharing. The high mountain meadows are beautiful. What was the altitude?

Thanks 10.3x60 for posting this video.I enjoy hunting Marmmots here in Alaska but not many people do it here. Thats ok for me it gives me lots of oppertunity's to hunt them.

Part of the attraction of hunting the marmmot is climbing the mounains and being in the beautiful country. The mountains here are very nice and your Alps in switzerland are very beautiful.
I've hunted the Alps in Germany and Austria and taken Gams,Hirsch, Fuchs and Reh and I felt like I was hunting in Heaven while I was up in the mountains there. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

I put a .22LR round through the eye of a woodchuck the other day during a buddy's BBQ. Not all present were thrilled, but for me and some others it topped off a nice day. Also nice was the fact that I shot him from a prone position off the back patio (overlooks their field). Marmota monax is the flavor we have here. I have tried eating them. Not a huge fan, but they are edible.

Anyway, nice shooting and pics of your country. Fascinating choice of music, however... Eeker Smiler

Before skin her, Here we leave her long time in the oven very low temperature, to make to strain the whole fat (very important that the fat is away everything)

Then we add some good wine Merlot, with various vegetables, to cover the marmot.

You allow to rest a night

Then leave it around 3 hours in the fire slow oven, with sauce to the "cacciatora" (mushrooms) , will see that goodness!!!
stir
