Just be aware that in some parts of Russia it is tradition to drink a rifle barrel full of vodka after the kill.

Take a boresnake. Cool

Waidmansheil and we look forward to the report>!

All the best,

Amir

WIsh you a good and safe hunting and safe journey if you pick up this message en route.

Perhaps a few close freinds on this forum have noticed that I have been quiet for the past few weeks since my return from Karelia.

After my hunt, I stayed 01 night in St Petersburg with my son.

It was in fact the Renaissance by the St Issacs Cathedral. Not a cheap a affair and I thought it will be comfortable and most important safe. US$470 for one night in fact. plsu breakfast.

In total I used my credit card twice during my 24 hours stay.

02 days after my return I had a call from my credit card company informing me that I have spent £17,000 or 19,000 Euros on a Rolex and a 72 inch flat screen TV in Dubai, US$1200 on itune Store amongst numerous otehr modern indulgences !

I am just about on top of this mess now after a week of frantic phone calls to my card issurer.

Bottom line is don't trust anybody in Russia other than your host.

He (my host) is obvious very embrassed about the whole matter and repeatedly assured me that if this gang is ever caught they will freeze with the mammonths ............

A Lesson to be learned

Thanks guys! I appreciate your good lucks! Smiler
Solvi, you have 8 hours to get ready. I´m staying home.. Big Grin
Amir: I guess it´s good that I´ll bring my 30 cal and not a 700 NE..

Maral, brown bear and siberian roe deer is targets of opportunity, Lars Henrik. First of all a ibex hunt, but one never know what might show up. If we´re lucky we´ll hit the maral rut. Smiler

Well, time to hit the sack!
Will report when returning home. And I will keep my credit card secure! Smiler
