http://www.corriere.it/cronache/08_luglio_21/cervo_Bolz...1-00144f02aabc.shtml Here's how they do it in Italy. If you look at all the photos translation shouldn't be necessary. The headline translation -Two injured as a deer visits the center of Bolzano !A beautiful town BTW.

Yes, a beautiful town and surroundings as well. During 1987 I spent 6 months over there to follow a course. Yesterday I saw on TV a short footage of the stag running in a crowded street, an almost incredible event. The news reports that the stag was in town because a poacher wounded it to the eye ... or may be scared of a heavy overnight storm. P.S. I've just seen the footage again, no wounded eye so, no poacher involved.

A strong polemic is arising here about that stag, that has been finally killed after it run in an underground car park; officials stated that it was seriously injured, after having fallen and bumped repeatedly. Animal activists stated that the stag could have been understandably killed while it was running in the streets, as a direct threat to the bystanders, but not inside a car park, where it should have been anaesthetized, then cured and released; those morons were ready to accept that somebody shoot the stag in a crowded street!!!

Somebody should inform the activists that treating a wild deer is usually unsuccessful, particularly one so excited/stressed already.Steve.

Antlered animals running through city streets and storefront windows always makes the nightly news here, too. Sorry to hear that the US is not alone in having bunny-hugger morons.
