Ben For the best time, ignore the stand hunting - run with the dog. Much more intense, with the excitement of a close stalk onto the barking hound holding the Meece at bay. Lots more enjoyable than standing in the rain for six hours! Rgds Ian Just taking my rifle for a walk!........

Contact the Swedish hunters organisation Svenska Jagaforebundet (sp) who should be able to put you in contact with a team who has a vacancy or a professional who will take you with the dog. Be sure to check the proposed trip with them and perhaps here. Swedish (and other Scandinavian) countries moose density is up and down due to wolves, larger culls from forestry companies etc. Even with good densities it takes luck to get a contact let alone shoot. When you spend a week walking the bogs and see nothing it's good to know it's just Diana being fickle rather than a rip off. When you finally do get it sorted be VERY careful regarding the dog when you shoot!

Its not so easy get to Sweden for exampel to hunt moose. If you have some hunt in UK, you can sugesst an excange with some Swede hunters. Some years ago I have done such exchange with you, but next year(s) we only had to shoot cows and calfs (save the bulls). Not so fun only take calfs and cows, a big bull is exiting to have.
