The wife and I are going to Rome next week. I was wondering if anyone knows any neat places to see there. Other than the obvious ones! Like gun stores etc. Or even just a good out of the way restaurant.I know one of you guys has found something to do in Rome other than the Coliseum!
Thanks in advance guys.

And I live in Sicily. I can tell you that for all the hunters in Sicily whacking bunnies right now there isn't a decent gun shop on the island.

I heard up in Steves neck of the woods that there are some nice ones in Milan.

The Germans, Swiss, Spanish, and Austrians have nice gun shops. I even hear the Russians, Czechs, and Poles have some nice ones too.

Well, I don't have anything to help you with. I stumbled into one gun shop, they had air guns, a few old shotguns and gear, nothing unique or worthwhile.

I was in a great shop in Prague, and in Wien (Vienna) as well as Munich, but didn't see many in Roma.

BTW what a great country--Italy-- you'll have a great time, pretty hard to find a bad restaurant.

Have fun!

True! I was stationed in Italy for a while and made it down to Rome once. Finding a good restaurant isn't a problem, food is one thing Italians do right. There might be a bad restaurant somewhere in Italy, but I couldn't find it.

Rome however have some good or very good gun shop, but I don't remember the names, and I do not love to suggest anything/anyone that I do not know personally.
On last Friday I met Leupoldo and I we meet at the suggested by me gunshop. I think that he has been satisfy (I know because he wrote it to me and because he bought a lot of items), but I've put my face in the operation.

but I think that any concierge can help you and that the best gun shops are in the center of the city or in the most important and the most prestigious roads and streets. Or it is possible to take a look at the telephone directory of Rome and look for the voice "armeria"

bye

My recomendation is Setimo Milanese. You can visit Parini (best shop I have ever seen) and have some excellent food . If you have some time to spare go there by any means. I'm sure you will not regret.
Steve was a great help. He knows everybody there.
