This weekend pasts, was the first outing for the Chiltern Deer Management Group, run by yours truly. Nothing as grand as the CLA, just a local country crafts fair that I was invited to attend. To help with the donkey work and to do front o house when we were set up , I enlisted the help of 9.3 Nige . The show was due to have IRO 2 thousand visitors over the day, so I thought we would have a little interest. How right we were, as the first interest came from the other exhibiters as we were setting up !! That set the tone for the day, and a constant stream of inquisitive people with all manner of deer related questions, ( and others), graced our tent . At the end of the day, we both wondered where the time had gone since we set up. Neither one of us seemed to have a dull moment. The only rest bite we managed were the (occasional) visit to the beer tent to keep our whistles wet. This could be the start of something big. How do other, if any, groups communicate with the public. Regards Puntgunner

Well done, good to do some PR for the sport. Something which I think isn't very common.

308, I did notice that he kept muttering , "Dib,dib,dib.." under his breath. And wanted to start lighting fires........... Still, be it his legs, or the other exhibits, we did have a good deal of interest and a good time. As it is, I could not post a picture of my white sticks as I know it would be too much to take for our Welsh Admin.
