Johan. It is interesting that you identify local knowledge as being the key to successfully hunting these birds. I will be meeting up with a good friend, Kare Vidar Pedersen, and hunting within a couple hours of Sande. He has his own woods and knowledge of the terrain gained over many years - so I am hoping to get to at least 'scare' a cock Capercaillie!! Apart from being a prolific author of hunting books in your country, I believe that he is also editor of 'Rype og skogsfugl' and 'Jeger, hund & vapen'. I have always felt that I'm in good company! I understand we will be shooting over Kare vidar's Gordon Setter - a new type of hunting from my point of view! Any tips or ideas you can pass on are most appreciated. Transpond - congrats on the new mod - obviously works fine! Have you noticed any changes in accuracy or recoil since getting it fitted? Ian | ||
