So I've started a rapport with Lapua, in the interest of them making brass for 338 Win Mag, etc. I claimed it would be a great seller.
I stated that even if they could just do a run of basic brass it would sell.
I now call upon the reloading community to please join me in persuading Lapua to manufacture belted cases, .532 head, .512 body.
The contact I have been in communication with is Janne.Bostrom@nammo.com
Please be polite but be persuasive..

Cheers
Bruce

I wrote and recieved a very quick and polite reply stating that it is not going to happen 2016, and as I understand, probably not in the foreseeable future either.

I'm afraid you'll be deceived as there's no following, hence no market, for the .338 Win Mag in Europe.I used to have one, a customized Win 70 with a Lothar Walther bbl. It shot sub- MOA but not without considerable load development. I shot 2 fallow deer with it but failed to see an advantage or improvement over our local staple, the 9,3x62. In long range shooting, I'd give the nod to the .338 WM all right, but it is an uncommon scenario in our overpopulated surroundings. Considering the added trouble of finding reloading components like brass, bullets, etc., I was glad to let it go to a fellow hunter planning an Alaskan bear hunt.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

With Lapua dropping 300 win mag loadings for current production--

(in Norma made ,Lapua labeled brass)

it is Highly Unlikely they would venture into the 338 win mag , with its universal declining sales in all markets

the 338 is a for instance suggestion, they could market a basic brass
