What is your opinion on this caliber?

How well does it work in the K 95 and the R 93 Blasers?

Who makes ammunition in the US for it?

Thanks to All, Aleko

@ alekojjensen

Im user of this caliber for hunting.

My preferred cartridge is always our old cartridge 10.3x60R http://www.collani.ch/Afrika-Ballistik-e.htm . Im hunting Roe deers, mountain chamois, red stags and ibex. This cartridge was developed in the late 1880 from the old British cartridge .450/400 2 3/8 Nitro Express. The muzzle velocity was around 685 m/s, which means 2240 fps. The muzzle energy was approx. 3846 joules.
Because Im reloader as well I do my cartridges myself. The bullets Im using are those from Blaser CDP http://www.blaser.de/english/produkte/accessories/cdp.htm and they have a weight of 265 grains. The ballistic coefficient is about 0.280. For reloading the cartridges Im only using the brass of Blaser. The powder of Rottweil has the number R903 and the primers are from RWS R5333 Magnums. The OAL of the cartridge is 77.5 mm. My loads have a muzzle velocity of approx. 735 m/s that means 2412 fps and the muzzle energy is 4450 joules. At the distance of 100 meters it has energy of 3331 joules. The accuracy of my loads are extremely good I always get 20 mm groups size with five shots from a bench rest at 100 meters! A very good accuracy for this caliber!

Collani I'm in Italy and would like to know a little about hunting biex and chamois in Switzerland. How can a Italian citizen hunt in Switzerland, through outfitters?
I heard that there are "packages" availiable where you purchase a mixed bag of animals and can then hunt them on your own on the concession you pay for. Is this true?

@EXPRESS

In our canton we do have the possibility to hunt ibex. I did it in 1998 and I got the goat and the buck. It is very hard to get the goat. Because of our hunting regulations we have to get the goat first, before we can take the buck. Now I have to wait another 5 years (2008) to get the license for the next ibex.
Normally our hunting season is during the month of September. I buy my license and then I can get different types of animals. The roe deer, the red stack, the mountain chamois and some marmots are free. The license costs me approx. 500 US$.

There is an outfitter in Germany, which offers some hunts in Switzerland. Probably this link could helps you: http://www.bavaria-jagdreisen.de/start.html#schweiz/schweiz.html Sorry, only in German.
They are offering hunting trips for ibex and for mountain chamois.
And on my homepage I have written my stories about my trophies in Europe. Just click on this link: http://www.collani.ch/Europa-Main-d.htm
