I will be in Berlin, Germany for a very short visit and am wondering if there might be gun shops that I might spend an afternoon visiting. I am not looking for anything specific - just at browsing a little.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations, and good hunting!

I highly recommend you plan to spend at least a month in the area playing tourist.
I spent 9 days in Aug '72 before the wall came down and never spent 10% of the time I would have liked to.
Berlin is a beautiful old city and needs LOT's of Looking over.

Take a hike along the park where the wall used to be looking and figuring out what the hunters statues are saying. Takes a couple hours just for that, it's about a mile, maybe two long. Be sure to visit the "Tor", tower, downtown area looking over the old church's that were blown up and then cleaned up and still are on display. Take a few hours to the 'rock pile' planetarium and the old airport reading the signs about the Berlin Airlift of the early 50's. There's just so much history in the area of interest. I was stuck in seeing just the West Berlin, now with the wall down I'm sure the tourist stuff has increased many times.

IF you're interested in such things. 3miles W of town on a nice wide trail there's a big sandy area enclosed among tall pines and a nudist beach area. Long time ago, can't be true to the name, seems like "inlandsea" or something on that order. Get a map, or get on G/Earth and take a look see. Be sure to take your camera, though do not take pictures of the naked women until you get their permission.

I think the long tables covered with blankets are the local ho's, business stables. Talk it over with the one's sunning on the tables and maybe take a 'ride' under one. I didn't but, I saw several happen that convinced me that's what was going on.

Just don't restrict yourself to a couple hours to look at gunshops, you'll be deeply disappointed if you do.

Wish you the best visit of your life.

A smaller shop is Frankonia, and if you visit anyway "Checkpoint Charlie" then it's just nearby.

Frankonia, Friedrichstrasse 69. 10117 Berlin, Germany
