I though I would be able to find a trailer with ease, but not so.
I am looking for a 8ft+ x 4ft+ twin wheeled braked trailer to fit the quad and have enough room for a couple of carcasses
The ideal size would be 8ft6" x 4ft6"
£500 -£750

regards
Griff

have you looked at horse boxes on autotrader, that should fit your needs and the prices are rock bottom at the moment.

i fitted one with a few sheets of stainless inside and a pair of hooks as well, it is really nice to be abel to do the butchering and everything inside and just a short way away from the hunt site.

best

Griff,
Look around for an old caravan.
It should have a low load deck and a functioning braking system.
Strip off the old superstructure and you should end up with a good trailer

Do you really need the trailer to be braked?
I use an ifor Williams calf trailer which is 8x4 foot . Room for the quad and if the deer stay loaded one on the front rack and one on the back they just about squeeze in with the roof still on.
Unbraked is going to be cheaper

Thanks for the replies, I have been trolling around flea -bay for just those very items, a horse box or caravan chassis.
unfortunately everthing seems to be down in England and the time spent travelling and then a few days with a welder its not worth the aggro.
I have been looking for so long now, that it has come to crunch time and I have to bite the bullet and spend the cash as time is running out..

griff,

I hope you have somewhere secure to store it as they are a magnet for thieves.

A friend spend £2000 on a large double axle flatbed farm trailer and it went off his farm within 3 months..

Peter

If you look at the price of Ifor Williams trailers on e bay you'll probably come to the conclusion you might as well buy new. They hold there value VERY well.
