A couple of my gunsmith friends in France told me some horror stories about drillings and double rifles in 7x65r having probelms because the pressure was too high. Anyone here have any problems with this cartridge in break action guns? Thanks

Chasseur, never heared of such problems. The 7x65 R is the most used caliber in single shots in Germany and if there would have been any problems, one would hear very quick about it. Just remember, what discussions a single Blaser R 93 blow-up caused! The use of .243 Win or .30 R Blaser in single shots with max admitted pressure at around 60,000 psi (4150 bar) and 58,500 psi (4050 bar) should cause earlier some problems than the 55,000 psi (3800 bar) of the 7x65 R. Just my 2 Ct (Euro-Ct!) Wolfgang
