Hi everyone,
I thought it would be very interesting if we post some information about the characteristics of hunting, hunting methods and trophies held by each European country. I'll start with Romania to get an overall idea.

Thank you! I was talking about something more like this. In Romania hunting is regulated by the Romanian state owned funds hunting in 90% of the state. Hunting minimum areas is 5000 hectares in the plains, 7,500 hectares in the hill area and 10,000 hectares in the mountains. Hunting with foreigners hunters is possible only on an invitation from a legally constituted associations and recognized by the Romanian State. Hunting traditions are about the same as in other neighboring countries, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, etc. An interesting custom is the so-called baptism of the hunter. The first animal species kill by a hunter brings baptism of the hunter. One of the most experienced hunters applied a few thin stick on the bottoms hunter and, in the mean while, the fresh hunter swear that he will always comply with wild game. Some of these trophies are representative of Romania.

In sweden the right to hunt belong to the landowner and can be permited. Most biggame are hunted in teams in areas of 2000-30000 acers.
EU members can get a smallgame permit in the scandinavian alps.

Sorry for my poor english again ...
What I wanted to say is... state owns the right to hunt in most hunting areas. Land owner has no hunting right over HIS land in Romania, unfortunately. But it is possible to change that, even next year ...

Depends..
Best Trophy? Amount of all trophy points? Ceausescu had a passion for bears and Romania is still a country that bears over 500 CIC points are not uncommon ...

No, his communist henchmen also were allowed to hunt lesser quality areas. The sad fact is, hunting is still controlled by the same bastards (or their descendants) in all of the post-communist countries. Corrupt as can be. Of course all of this takes place now under the majesticly democratic ideals of the European Union.
