I have about 3 months before I get to Italy. If I join a gun club can I own rifles?

I don't care to own a pistol, but I would like to leave Italy with a few shotguns and Sabatti single shots.

I'm still waiting to have the info that I've promised.

To be memeber of a shootng range is a good idea, but I don't know if there is a rifle shooting range in Sicily. I do not remember the info research, but I did not meet the Police high officer that has the answers.
