http://www.scientificamerican....mc_id=SA_WR_20110818 Interestingly, the authors argue that the Reindeer pick out both food and predators because they absorb rather than reflect UV light. I have read discussions where hunters have argued that using certain washing powders with UV enhancers made their Cammo more visible to ordinary deer and was to be avoided. I'm wondering whether this approach is counter productive with other deer species that live near the snowline or during winter hunts? Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened. Sir Winston Churchill | ||
