I got invited to go Wild boar hunting in Estonia. Anybody done this? Is it worth the trip? It will have to be next year and I'll probably tie it into a moose hunting trip to Finland. But given the paperwork involved in this, I'm not gonna take the jump unless it's worth it.

The hunting looks good. And the women look good too. Make the trip.

You're right.........I'll do it, by jingo! i've been to Estonia a few times so as a single guy I understand the second part of the comment. The less said the better. Who really needs the competition?

Been there about five or six times, I have to admit that they *do* have very pretty women, and lots of them.

Hunted there too, which was a bit of a disappointment..I tried to arrange something on my own, through a friend-of-a-friend kind-of arrangement...I'm not sure I haven't been poaching! Saw two hare and one fox...instead of moose...

Don't know about the boar hunting, most seem to go there for lynx, or wolf, moose...

In that countries, IMVHO, is always better follow regular ways contacting local hunting agencies. They do have contacts for manage a good hunt and trophy managment and shipping, even if they are more expensive than our local friends or contacts.
In Romania I had been invited to hunt by the responsible of a resort hunting area, I can hunt everything except the bear, I been told that there was a good one in that area.
Well, if I had shooted a big boar, no trouble, I was there with my car and the teeth can stay in a pocket, but any other trophy should had been a problem to have it at home.
I know that a bear skin has been smuggled in Italy. It has been a culling hunt, the bear has been hunted in the way described above, a loyal hunt but not for trophy.
Bad way to look for troubles. In Italy is possible also to go under arrest for this offense.
