I placed a £10 bid on eBay last night for a "Mickey Mouse Outfit" but it seems if I can't cancel my bid what I've actually ended up buying is not a lovable Disney character's costume but the England 2010 World Cup Football Team and Fabio Capello...

Hi my daughters have on numerous occasions used my account to bid for things they changed their mind on and come running for help !

If you are lucky with a good seller then 9 times out of 10 they will accept your withdrawal.

There is a specific function under bid tools that allows you to do that.

Failing that I would suggest "offer to pay the listing fee and withdrawal" usually it is minimal but this also worked for us on 01 occasion.

Now I am off EBAY permannatly ...........sort of high seat hunting for dangerous game

Please guys don't start on football

I think I am going to miss game thinking about it ...........................

About Ebay, not football. Use an auction sniper tool. Your bid is not placed with Ebay until the last few seconds, and you can cancel it at the sniper site any time beforehand. Works for me.

cheers,
stu

I am always buying and selling on Ebay. In my mind I think it is a very good way to get rid of your junk, and treasure.

I have hunting books, wildboar taxidermy, and some other stuff on there right now.
