Might not be your neck of the woods, but Diana Taxidermy in Denmark is 1st class.

Thankyou gentlemen.

I agree the Garzos' work looks great, one thing I have found with taxidermy is that photographing it can be very difficult too, which makes judging it more difficult.

Colin Dunton also looks to do good, clean work.

Keep them coming, there are several here in Italy but after many trials and mistrails I have decided to go elsewhere.

Schenk in Germany does great work but I have found him to be frustratingly unreliabe with comunications and very very slow to get pieces back.

I will only use Dunton and Garoz (when I've hunted with my Spanish friends) from now on.
I've had too many good trophies ruined by awful taxidermy.
In fact I sent off a big gold CWD to Dunton last night.

I've seen some of Schenks stuff and was impressed - but it did seem to take a long time to get done.
Dunton told me yesterday that I would see my CWD back in about 4 months.

Diana Taxidermy has moved to South Africa.!!

I see that you live in Italy, so maybe this was worth a visit, The Italian Taxidermy Competition. It will be held from 2 to 5 May 2013 in Longarone, Italy.

Are you looking for best quality, price or value for money?

I'd like a taxidermist I know will produce top quality work and stick to the delivery time.
If he says 12 months, fine. But if I have to start chasing it up for another 6 months, and then get presented with an inflated bill, that is not fine.

Regarding mountain game like Ibex and Tur I have had good experiences with Karl Matt in Austria a few years ago. I cannot really comment on the new generation in Germany but maybe someone can help. I take the view that only quality counts regarding the hassles and costs involved with shipping, customs etc. So if taxidermy: only the best will do otherwise I bleach my own skull mount. Or leave it in the country.

Karl matt does excellent work. Taxidermy Sonntag is good. Taxidermist Erik Schenk is good.
All three have a very good reputation.

@huntingineurope
I have seen a lot of good taxidermy coming from poland.
In fact a very good friend of mine is a taxidermist in poland and he offers an excellent price-value relation.

My experience w/Schenk (up 'til now; thing's change) has been very positive. On time to the day, prices match their quote exactly.

I've also used Peters in Hamm; his business now taken over by a younger fellow; Malte Glunz.

Just recieved a shipment from Namibia for 5 hunters - Trophaendieste outsida Windhoek is outstanding.

huntingineurope,

Sorry, either it's a bad photo of the Roe in velvet or it would not have met my expectations.

Cheers,
