This is for D99,

Here is my new .375 Tracker barrel with my Hit Point Pro. It is a great shooter, shot it at the club last night at 100 yds, could keep everything inside 3" with the Hit Point( No Magnification!) Recoil is a bit exciting but not bad.

Aleko,
Nice looking rifle.
My 375 Tracker bbl shoots as good at 200 yards
as my standard sporter bbl.
How do you compare the Hit Point to the Zeiss Z Point?
My brother and I had a good time with 500grains.

Strange operation that place in Idaho. He told me they are going to cull all the fallow off of it. Probably something to do with the damn game and fish.

Suprised Idaho G&F lets them own wildboar. I know the communist in Wyoming and Montana G&F won't let you own anything but bison.

Private land should be managed privately and public land should be managed by the goverment. The two should never cross!

Good luck, I don't have tickets yet, but I should be there in late October.

D99, check out Aleko's picture in the initial post of this thread. Of the R93 rifles and stocks in the background, the second from left is the "varmint" or "long range" stock. It has an adjustable cheekpiece and a beavertail forearm (I believe the things are called - anyway a wide forearm suited to being shot off a bag). I think these stocks are a late enough edition to the Blaser series, that they should be equipped with the new R93 trigger.

Something new to add to the collection?? Wink I handled one of these the other day, and I thought it was rather neat. Well suited for a varmint hunter. Consider how easy it would be to switch barrels when one got too hot... Yet save space travelling with so many rifles, plus you would still be shooting the same stock and trigger, even though you changed barrels...

- mike

P.S. I should say that the "long range" R93 I looked at came with a heavy, fluted barrel. Most likely the same barrels used in the "Jagdmatch" and UITs??

P.P.S. Here is a link to the Blaser website

I handled that varmint stock when I was visiting Aleko a couple of weeks ago. It also has a rail on the bottom to attach a bipod.
I like that stock quite a bit. I wil have to have one. It does take all of the match/LRS2 barrels.
What will they think of next. Big Grin

I shot my client's new Long Range Monday, it was great, I Like the new trigger too. Trouble I have is my old stand by R93's shoot so well and I have a Jagd Match, the long range is cool for sure.

On another note, I shot the .375 tracker with the hit point again. I love it, it is so handy. I'll shoot a big ram with it !

It's kind of funny that he is so traditional about his hunting attire, but prefers high tech guns like the Blaser. In contrast, I like traditional guns like the M98, but I like high tech bullets and those high-tech SPF-rated, mesh-lined, sweat-wicking, quick-drying synthetic hunting shirts with velcro closures for the pockets.

I am thinking about getting moon boots and a nylon jogging suit for my next hunt.

Dad's hunting attire is very traditional. Shorts shirts boots, all pressed and shined. And his pith helmet matches his clothes. Dad is pretty formal on that stuff

I shot this gun on Sunday. Although a red dot is not my kind of thing, the rifle was extremely light and handy, and had a great trigger.

Tell Blaser that if they will make a 5.5 pound 16 inch .375 HH Tracker takedown based on the M98 action for $3K, I will buy one. Or two.

Interesting rig.

I'm sure the Hit Point is a good unit, but I would take an Aimpoint Comp M2 any day. If it's good enough for our troops, it's good enough for me.

I have Tracker barrels in 375 H&H and 308 WCF.
Both are very accurate. The 308 has killed several javalinas including one at 412 yards.
The 375 has taken 2 wild turkeys and a wild pig.

I shot Alekos Blaser 375 Tracker with ther Hit Point yesterday.
At 100 yards I was suprised how good the groups were. Much better than I can do with the iron sights.

No matter which way I pointed the Hit Point the red dot did not wash out, it was always visible.
It was a very bright day.
It is very small and compact. The field of view up close is very large.

It looks like just the ticket for up close [say 0 to 150 yards or so] fast shooting, and for following wounded game into the thick.
For all those non iron sighted bbls in America it gives you an instant close up/low light sighting system. Much better than iron sights.

404 it has an iron sighted barrel 50cm/19 3/4" long.
The "real" Tracker stock has sling swivels on the side of the stock. Of course the Tracker bbl will fit any reciever.
I have a 308 and a 375 Tracker bbl.
I think Aleko at Heritage arms has a 9,3x62 in stock.

NE 450, thanks. Is it tapered like the standard barrel? The 9.3 is very tempting. I have a 375 and an 8x68, .....300wm, 308, 6.5x55, 223........I guess I like em.

Really, what I like best, apart from being great shhoters, is the take doen into a small case. So easy to get around in the airport, in vehicles, etc. What I don't like are the plastic mags...but, oh well.

I have a synthetic stock, one of the faux wood timber stcks and a prestige. If I were starting over again, instead of picking stuff up piecemeal, I would opt for one of the grand lux stocks, and only 2 or 3 barrels.

Yes it is tapered.
Where in CA are you. I am in LA now visiting a friend.

The 9,3 is a great choice for a Tracker. I just have a lot of 308 and 375 brass and ammo.

And it shoots great too. I recently bought a Mag-Na-Ported 9,3x62 bbl.and fitted it with a Swaro PVI-2 1,25-4x254 with digital illuminated reticle.
