Ok,

Thinking out loud on the way to work, and had this idea to buy a few rental cabins near Denali (Mt McKinley) National Park in Alaska.

I had already planned on retiring in Alaska, and this would be a good supplimental income.

For those of you that have used or intend to use Summer rental cabins, what kind of ammenities do you require?

On the river?

Near a national Park?

Near a city?

Quadbike, fourwheeler use?

Mt bikes?

Kayaks and Canoes?

Fishing equipment?

What are your thoughts?

I was thinking about advertising in The Field, Jagdt and Hund, Alaska Magazine, and maybe with some outfits in Britain or Germany that book vacation cabin rentals.

What size would you require?

3 bedroom? 4? 5? 2?

Any thoughts would be wonderful help.

thanks again,

Seth

We should talk. I have rentle property in Anchorage that I im getting tired of. (tired of the city that is) I had alot of the same thoughts myself but I'm unsure if it is very marketable.

I was thinking the Glennallen area but maybe if we both got this off the ground we could have some kind of customer exchange. Two things I have a lot of expiriance in is working with Europians and building log cabins.

Well,

That was the thought!

Peter, the problem with horses is the liability that comes with loaning, or renting horses in the USA. Some guy comes a long and his 8 year old gets her foot stepped on or her back broke when she comes off of a horse and you can say good bye property!

Shooting ranges, maybe.

I found a couple by Homer I was thinking of trying to emulate.

Anchorage rental property, AK talk to me maybe via pm?

I think that disclaimer exist and should be signed by clients before starting the activities.

I think taht it is a good investment, at peterdk's list I add the fishing equipment, the near a river voice and where it is possible the quadbike.
