More than paying deposits, I get excited and start clock watching with the plane tickets bought.

We leave for Bulgaria by way of Charles Da Gaul (sp?) October 11.

One problem Delta would not let us purchase Comfort Plus and a ticket to Bulgaria. We always fly into Paris on Comfort Plus. If we were just going to Paris we could, but the ticket to Bulgaria blocks or locks us out. So, now I have a reason to hate Delta.

Rifle has been chosen my 7mm STW Model 70.

Nice. I would like to hunt Mouflon. A neat looking ram.
I met Arjun at DSC last year. Very nice guy and I enjoyed conversing.

I do not know which one I am moremamoned for. The mouflon will be my “poor man’s” sheep hunt. While hunting fallow in Austria we got right in the middle of a breeding frenzy of Reds. Stags of all sizes were pouring into the bench we were stalking, they were roaring, fighting, cutting off hinds. We were right in the middle. It was like being in a tornado. That was an awe inspiring experience.

This is the third European country and second Euro country I will have hunted. It will also be the farthest east I have been.

Obviously you have some affection for hunting in Europe. I am always amazed that for such a heavily populated continent there is a wealth of hunting opportunity in certain countries. And healthy game populations. I read some stats of the annual Roe Deer harvest in Germany. Incredible numbers are shot.
I have experienced what you describe amongst the frenzy of roaring Red Stags. Two stags, so intent on out roaring the other were parallel moving right past me and just ignored me. I could have touched one with my barrel. The hinds were all alarmed and barking but the stags didn't care. From so close I thought the roaring comparable to two madmen absolutely screaming their lungs out. The sound was blood curdling.
