Woli, Thanks. I've just heard these rumors. What do you make of the Balser 93? I checked one out awhile ago and I just couldn't get past the looks...

The 7x65R is the most popular rimmed cartridge in Central Europe, by far! The lowly 8x57IRS is slightly gaining as a woods cartridge. The 9.3x74R is an old and reliable standby, selling well, but more in doubles than in SS or combo guns. In a new rifle, i would buy: 6.5x65R for flat shooting ( see chamois rifle ), .30 R Blaser, the equivalent of .300 H & H, or the 8x75RS ( liked by the Reichsjgermeister )( equivalent of 8x68S or 8 mm Rem Mag - see Askins ) for World wide hunting. Of course .243. .308 and .30-06 are selling well. And the bygone favourites , 5.6x52R, 6.5x57R, 7x57R are still in need of ammo... Regards, Hermann
