good evening.
i am a young and inexperienced hunter, i do hunt birds, hares and foxes, but i want to hunt deers/big game.

*i don't care about big trophys, i would much rather spend the money on more animals than 20cm extra horns and preparant costs.
but still, i wish to hunt adult animals, lets say 2,5 year and older.
sex is not important.
*i wish to hunt several animals(not neccesserily different species) from roe and up.
in a duration of 3-4 days and up to a week.
*i would prefer 1:1 stalking, i don't want to indulge in long range shooting(over 200m) or driven hunts, i would just end up wounding the animals.
*inexpensive, i'm not a man of unlimited funds.

i'm a bit sceptical to go to eastern europe due to their insane trophy fees, should i be unlucky enough to shoot something a lot bigger than i thought it was.

tips and inputs as to which hunts and where i should go, will be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Steffen,

One thing that might be suitable is culling hinds (red deer) up on the open hill in Scotland.

If you can get a good contact, very often there is a flat charge for the days stalking which can give you a chance to shoot several beasts over the course of the day.

Last time I looked into this, the going rate averaged about £100 per day, so it is not bad value.

You might even be able to get cheap flights across to some where like Aberdeen airport, which again would keep the costs down..

Regards,

Peter

You can also try Ireland for some hind shooting in January/February.
I know Norwegian have very cheap flights from Oslo to Dublin.

You might be able to hunt the end of the roebuck season and tack on a couple of days doing roe does as well, i know they're a lot cheaper and often as Pete said it's just a flat rate for the day with chances to shoot multiple animals in one day. Prohunter that used to post on here carrys out a lot of roe stalking and reds as well - he might be able to sort you out his prices were very reasonable last time I heard.

steffen - I have to agree with SIKA98K and PeteE. Some hind/doe stalking would be perfect with great stalking, one-on-one attention and capped fees (generally). You could even try all three varieties suggested above on various long weekends i.e. Roe doe culling in England, highland red hinds in Scotland and sika hinds in the Wicklow hills of Ireland. It would be quite cheap with low-cost airlines, but I wouldn't book through an agent but rather go direct with the stalkers off websites such as this one.

+1 on above
and add Fallow Does to that list
Plenty of UK stalkers/Guides that can assist you at sensible prices for both the stalking and accommodation

doesn't have a particular budget, but i wanted to stear clear of hunts that costs 2500 euro before you have even loaded your rifle.
likewise trophy fees that runs 500+ euro.

as i see it, there are two different types of foreign hunts.
one is going for a low cost weekend of hunting, it doesn't seem that anybody beats Britain in this.

the other one is a bit longer and more expensive, it would be a once in a year hunt, maybe not even that often.
this type of hunt have a budget of 2500 euro, included fees, lodging etc.

ok 2500€ all inkl. is ok.
For 2500€ there are a thousand options for example
-red or roedeer hunting in scotland
-deer/pig hunting in hungary

but for this price you could find something in sweden or norway for sure.
