I've. Been in Aberdeenshire for a week and the stags are roaring. It's about a week behind in the west but heading to Dumfries tomorrow to start two weeks of stag stalking.

Anyone seeing the big stags move elsewhere?

Good luck my friend

In my place, the roar is over.
Incredible, it dured only 7 days??????????????
Beech fruits and acorns aplenty keep the does in the forest instead of grazing in clearings, that made even tougher to bag a good deer............legally he should be over 8 year old.
Fortunately I wasn't interested and I spent only 2 evenings...........in vain.
One of my friend in a top most area is on his 26th evening on the high stand and maybe for the first time in his hunter's life, he'll not get a trophy.
Nature ins't predictable, and we hunters have a matter to ponder.

Hey buddy,

I hope the rest of your trip is going well. We all had stags in front of us this mng but only kevin got a small one bringing the total to eight for the week. We saw a bruiser in the bowl but I think they dog tunnels!!

Dig jake and Paul are out tonight then I have an appointment with two tone for the rest of the week.

Don't forget to email me pics.

Kiri: We had a great time and I have not been so relaxed all year. I hope everyone has good luck. Clara and I toasted you and the boys tonight with some great champagne and single malt at dinner.

We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to seeing ya'll in Dallas. You should bring Grif as your public relations spokesman! rotflmo

Chad: give me a holler next week when we get back in the states.

We nearly got him mate but he will have to wait till next year as my legs finally gave out on Wednesday after three weeks of being on the hills.

I did get to the top of the boulders on Tuesday night though and shot a nice 11 pointer. Next year char ill race you to the goats!!!

Final tally was 9 stags plus Joel's goat. So not bad for eight days of hunting.

Pics on the way.

We got home last night and will have some great memories. I sent you a couple photos of the 2 beautiful stags that John and I were fortunate enough to take.

I am still waiting for the picture of yours.
