Looks like old Col Cooper is not long for this world.

I didn't always agree with his views, but i have enjoyed reading his stuff for years.

His book "The Art Of The Rifle" is by far the best thing of its type.

As writing style was not really my cup to tea, but he is with out doubt one of the "Greats".

I hope he finds relief from his pain and my best wishes and thoughts go out to him and his family...

He hunted moose here in norway in the 80`s with his .350 Rem Mag Scourt rifle, very few had heard about what a Scout rifle was then, but the onenes who devoured US magazines had.

He got a moose on his 3 day out of five day hunt, and he wrote a little about in one his last pages in G&A some years ago. In that he wrote that everythinh went perfect on his hunt as conserning with the weather etc.

He also wrote about the hunt in G&A before but i have just read what the Norwegian journalist/gunbug wrote and that was great read.

bull

Does it give you pleasure to demean this wonderful man? Did you ever meet him, know him, or spend time with him? I did, and your insult is only a reflection on your lack of character and proper breeding.

The world lost a good man when Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Cooper died. Too few men today are like him
