I am curious as to why it is so tough to find a DIY hunt in Europe for something as common as a roebuck. Atleast in Denmark the agencys doesn't offer much of this. Here is what I am looking for. I'd like something that resembles a wilderness hunt. So there will be no using whehicles during actual hunting time. I'd like to stay/camp in tent in the hunting area and not return to a cozy house with a ton of food. Wether or not the hunt is guided is less important as long as the above two things is met. The game sought is not specifically roebucks, however the hunt should be within a fairly tight budget. Is this at all possible.?

Thx for the reply Nordic2, and I am interested in both capercaile aswell as a beaver hunt. Thing is I am very busy due to studies and will be untill mid june, and then again from the start of September, which is why I don't go to Nordland for "elgjakt" anymore. Do you happen to have any contacts for roebuck hunting in mid august? Perhaps next winter I will have time for a winter Capercaile hunting / Toppjakt if that was what you had in mind?

Roebuck are allowed here from 1maj-16june and 16aug-31dec,but the population are low. There are much more roedeer in the southern sweden but the north are more suited for wildlife camping.
