No doubt you made a happy boy, maybe he will become a great hunter like you when he will grow.
I remember my first boar. I was about his age, maybe slightly younger. Good memories.

He has good reason! Unfortunately boars with the summer short coat lose a little of their appeal.

thanks guys. Yes was a pleasure teaching the boy. And we made also an happy grand father ( the men on the left in the photo...) Is also very lucky. Not easy to kill a male boar before dark.
Wildboar, you have reason. I do not like the summer coat. What a shame a boar like that in winter looks like a monster. Unfortunately is absolutely more difficult take a boar in the winter from the high site.

dear 10,3
this was not a driven hunt. We were on a high site waiting the boar coming outside the forest. So we didnt need an high volume rifle with many rounds inside like in the driven but an accurate rifle wich shoot properly. In this case the kipplauf is ok. In fact in this type of hunt is very difficult to shoot again if you miss the first shot. The boar runaway very fast.
The meat? In this season is absolutely better because the animals are not in the rut but with the heat you must be very careful to keep it in a cold room.
