Can anyone help me by letting me know how to post a photo successfully?

I have some photos of a European Boar hunt in Hungary which I would like to share.

Many thanks

Jon2,

First of all you have to host your photos using a site that allows for photos to be accessed from others sites (don't use "www.imagestation.com" as it doesn't work properly sometimes) and then post your photos using the IMG command () and that will do.

Jon,

If you go to the forum "Hunting Reports- Africa" their is a thread explaining how to do it pinned near the top.

You will need to find somewhere to "host" or upload your pics to first...I use the photogallery at http://www.jesseshunting.com which seems pretty reliable...as already mentioned, don't use imagestation as it causes lots of problems and is very unreliable..

Regards,

Pete

What are you guys using these days?
Imagestation seems a little finicky.

BTW I am in favour of a mass photo posting session, this forum is getting really quiet and nothing gets the juices flowing as picture of success...

Hi Folks!

Well, I use Photobucket as an online album and host for posting. I particularly like the fact that each photo has a selection of links underneath. Means the non tech types (like me) can just copy and paste to the middle of the reply. Voila! One picture.

Further to the comment from BogHoss - here is something a little unusual.

Last week, was out culling CWD from a patch I shoot over. Eventually got a chance at a standing shot (sticks!) and cleanly took this Doe at 120yds. On getting a closer look - her lower jaw was severely undershot, and at least 2.5cm shorter than normal. No signs of injury - and certainly no impediment to normal feeding. Maybe evolution moving towards a 'DuckBill'? Wink

Thoughts? Smiler

Keep well - the Roe season is getting closer here in the UK - can't wait.

I used to use Imagestation but it is very finicky now. Switched to Photobucket, much better, easier to use, etc.

Another vote for www.photobucket.com

I used Imagestation before but it was very unstable.

Here's a pic I took on 03/13th at the end of our doe season. I shot a 17 kg, dressed weight, doe and found this female foetus. Considering the size/age of the doe, one would normally expect 2 fawns. Typically of overpopulated areas, fertility goes down. A classic case in favour of regulation.

BTW, this, among other characteristics like estimated age, sanitary condition, number of white spots on coat, length of jaw, amount of fat around kidneys, presence of parasites, etc., has to be reported via an official form imposed by our legal shooting plan. Even hunting becomes bureaucratic nowadays...

Hi Andre

I have just started working for a belgium bank and will be in Brussels fairly regularly. What sort of sport would be available if I wanted to pack a 308 and hire a guide?

Would it be a long travel from Brussles?

regards,

You'd better check whether you can pack a 308 for Belgium. From previous posts on this topic I think it's banned there.

Calibre is flexible TBH. In fact it would even be easier for me if the guide had a rifleI could borrow as I'm not sure how the bank would react to me coming to the office with a firearm!!!
