Ok, so we have the biggest freaking foxes I have ever seen and no one will let me have a rifle or shotgun here.

So how about trapping in Italy. Is it legal?

No, it is not, there must be an order by the authorities, for a good reason like rabie, and then is possible also trapping, BUT if you have not the hunting licence you can only help trapping, otherwise you can be prosecuted a poacher.

If you have learned some Italian you should go to the FederCaccia office/club, and contact them. For sure the know some fox hunter, maybe you can go with him .... Not easy, I know but real hunters can always find something to enjoy

Steve I hope things are better in Milan!

This Island leaves me cold. Every day I wish that my work would allowed me to stay in Spain.

A mate of mine up from northern Italy and I talked about doing some hunting up there in the fall.

I think I owe him a Ruger 10-22 barrel and a new stock. Or that's the trade.

How was KHS this last time? Some how Johan and Dean and I had a bad hunt, hopefully yours was grand.

Are those foxes bigger than the ones on Kodiak (sorry I don't know what part of Alaska you are from).
I shot some reds in Germany and they were fairly large but still about 20% smaller than the one's on Kodiak. They were quite a bit larger than our interior foxes.

Seth,
Speaking about hunting, now is closed and I can only spend some tim at shooting range, but I had a good Wild Boar season, I bagged three of them, two big and one medium. If you can manage to come North for a hunting week end, I'll bring you with me. I cannot promize and assure that you will personally bag a boar, but you will have a rifle to use.
As soon as I'll know in which dates we will hunt for two days in a local resort, I'll write to you.

As I wrote to you I had very good time in Namibia, I was happy to get back there last year but my friend Giuseppe broke his hand and this stopped us. We will leave on 23 of June to go to Namibia, and I hope to have again a good hunting trip.

bye

Sit down first and relax, best period when cold.
Costs argument, very low, nothing more €100 to €120, sleeping and eating costs included, but more probably less.
You will need a long week end, arriving of Friday afternoon and getting back on Sunday evening or better on Monday morning.

About your kind offer, if an American friend coming in Europe on May, will forget to bring me two or thee items that I saw on Cabela's online catalogue, I'll write to you.
