My wife and I are stopping in London for a couple of days on the way to Namibia in May. Wondering if there are any AR folks that might want to gather for a cocktail or two on May 12. We are staying at the London Outpost of Bovey Castle.

I would have been up for that but we'll be expecting our first child any time then so I don't think it will go down too well if I go out drinking with shooting buddies!! Wink

I will PM everyone as the day gets closer. We are staying at the Draycott adjacent to Cadogan Gardens. Hope I spelled that correctly. The Outpost of Bovey Castle was purchased so we are moving across the street. We'll be in Namib for 10 days of hunting. We are ready!

My wife and I will be there next Monday May 12. That afternoon we plan on doing some shooting at the West London Shooting School from about 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any suggestions on where to meet for a drink?

Hi 450, The west london shooting school is in northholt and your hotel is in the middle of town, have you hired a car as a taxi is going to be expensive as depending on the traffic the journey will take a good hour!

Spoilt for choice as far as places to go for a drink, there is a nice pub on Beauchamp Place for a quiet drink, its not to far from your Hotel... Would you prefer somewhere more glamorous? banana

SOrry for not replying to your thread the first time round, i live in west Kensington so i'm not far away at all.

Regards,

Amir

I certainly don't know of any places to have a drink. One of the locals is going to have to make an executive decision and select the best place.

We are planning on taking the train/tube and then taxi to get to and from WLSS.

It was a great evening, I may have drank to much..... i'll reserve comment unless somebody else does.....

The chap in the foreground is Bill K., to the left of him going clockwise is Ben G. who is not a member of these forums but a new shooter like myself, you know the two reprobates in the middle, Next is Ginger who is the charming wife of Kent who is 450/400 and finally Benjamin C., who is London hunter from this board.

beer

A highly enlightening conversation for a noob like me Thanks to all!

Regards

A
