Sako bases for rail mounts

I've asked this question on other AR forums to deafening silence:

Does anyone know of a mount base for a Sako L61R that would allow me to mount a scope with a 14mm rail, flexibly?

I have rail attachments for Optilok bases but they put the scope well back and neither part has any lateral adjustment.

Thanks in anticipation.

You could try Recknagel of Germany.

Thanks Ratwhiskers,
yes, I have had a bit of a look at their catalogue. They may have the answer but I haven't been able to see anything more useful there than Optilok has, probably for less money.

If you can find your way through their products and pin down something that would give a position farther forward than having the back of the rail at the front of the rear receiver ring, or that gives lateral adjustments, I'd like to hear about it.

My Recknagel catalogue is a bit old (2003)but shows a range of both 45 and 70 degree swing off dovetail mounts - listed for the Forester/Finnbear/Finnwolf range with three options for forward mounting and five rear mounting/fixing options. Try their website or e-mail them with your problem - I've found the company to be very communicative.
Good luck

Thanks Ridgeman,
your post has caused me to look again at the online Recknagel catalogue. Not a lot of mention of Sako there but I finally got the feeling they might have some mounts that would work for me, including some with an interesting method of lateral adjustment.

I still can't be sure they provide any forward flexibility for the mounting position or that their prices are likely to make any sense for mounting a $150 Nickel Supra found on ebay, when I know that another $120 might get me the Optiloks answer, though I might have to shim it.

I'll send them an email and ask how much the mounts on Page 87 might be.

I'm starting to wonder what 'info' means in German. I've sent polite emails to addresses starting with that for both Recknagel and Kahles but got answers from neither. I even got the Kahles email translated into Deutsch by a human being. Swarovsky, are better correspondents, I'm happy to say.
