Very fetching head gear I thought....

Yes, although I do wonder if it will cause trouble with the "bobble hat monthly" contract. thumbdown

Whilst we're on the subject, I don't buy said publication often, but it seems to have turned into "Pete Carr Monthly"! (Not that I have any beef with that) Is that common or a one off?

That seems to be a regular thing.

Jo, the fish looked pretty impressive, especially given my personal history of abject failure on that front over the past couple of seasons.....

Nice hat Big Grin

What magazine was that in??

No longer buy any magazines because they are always depressing reading, and just seem to be about RSPB issues - or am I just too critical - might venture into WHSmith for a look at a friend in a piccy though!!

Our short female friend is lurking in this month's copy of Sporting Rifle.

The quotes attributed to the various hunters are, however, a complete fabrication by the author! bewildered

Got you now!!

That Caracal looks fantastic, never heard of them before, very nice looking beastie! Any story to go with it Jo?

No comment attributed to you Ian, were you just lurking in the background??

Was good to see the Major in a picture, he came and stopped with me up in Dumfries to gain some experience - he was a fantastic cook I seem to remember, and an interesting shot!!

Haven't bought sporting rifle for a bit, bit storytime still for me....

Regards all from wet and windy Derbyshire!!

Nightwalker

I will ask Jo to recount the story of her Caracal - suffice to say, NO-ONE ever sees them by day. Jammy git! Smiler

I was out there and having a great time, but when I was finally asked to write a review, my reply was 'are you sure you want one'? Roll Eyes

I believe that the 'Major' was also somewhat surprised to receive promotion from the author of the article.

I dont see whay you dont want to write about the cracking time you had out there Ian and at very reasonable price,
the guys who went with you have only just come back a few weeks ago after going again and having had another good trip
have you got some beef with Peter you would like to share as i keep reading your digs at him which I find in my eyes are quite unfounded
