What sort of skis and boots do Scandinavian and European hunters use when hunting in winter. Are you on modern touring type skis or the much more traditional type wooden ski with a walking boot type boot and strap binding.

In northern Sweden we have use for different pair of skiis my traditional Tegsnäs are used in the early winter december-january then its soft powder snow, my newer backcountry touring skiis are used later in the season for mountain hunting on packed snow. I also have a pair of TSL modern snoeshoes for late season forest and mountain hunting. Traditional wood 225cm/8feet long 7cm/3"wide http://tegsnas.se/produkt/rajd-bjorksula-hickorykant/ You can use most type of winter boots on this type of skii good choice then its cold. Thinner modern skiis with short skins. 6-7cm wide 195cm https://www.fischersports.com/...-skin-xtralite-20192 I use a Rottefella BC magnum binding with a Alpina skiiboot on it. Fischer e109 are a great compomise between them. Åsnes norway have also great skiis. https://www.en.asnes.com/produ...reidablikk-fjellski/
