to hunt with AR's own FallowBuck. We will hunt stag, then a duck and driven shoot, and if successful, I hope to get a crack at Roe and Muntjac. Really looking forward to the trip. I need a good one after my last two! Big Grin

Yes LH we will all be shooting together on Sunday, and your efforts will be turned into the next AR blockbuster!! Wink

I'm n the case trying to secure a Chinese Water Deer nearby, which looks promising.

I might need to borrow someone elses drinking liver as Gerry wrecked mine at Livermere (no pun intended) last time on the AR shoot!!

Water Deer are great fun and a lovely trophy, but not officially in season until the 1st November.
If your shooting up near Livermere you are close to some great stalking for them.

SWS,

My bad on the closed season!! I suppose I'll have to stick to the balance of what's available!!

We will be at Livermere a bit but mainly just outside Norwich.

Mark,

2012 is a date. Just make sure that I arrive back from Africa before you otherwise I might be needing a new place to live if I come home and bugger off hunting again!!

Oh, you are definitely not walking in front... I saw the way you get through crab claws last year!!

Would it happen to be an Estate starting with a Q?

It's a shame re seasons, and I know they did it to stop people accidentally shooting does, but the big CWD Bucks are much more impressive in summer coat.

Thanks LH,

It was good to see all the guys and I'm sorry I had to rush off, but we just made it back in time to get out for the evening stalk.

Final bag for the day was 158 Ducks and a Goose, and Jim got some excellent footage of the shooting so that should be fun.

Speak soon,
Kiri

Amir was it you that shot the crispy white one?

For all those with suspicious minds it was a duck not one of the big snow geese...

By the way I should probably update on Tims Hunt.

We had a solid week of shooting with a number of stags spotted. The rut had pretty much finished by the time we started so it was tough going.

We had to turn down stags on the first three days because we couldn't get them on film, and finally managed to shoot a beaten up, malformed 13 pointer on the last day with 20 minutes left of shooting before we left!!

We saw a cracking 13 pointer another young 12 and what we think was an enormous 10 pointer all of which we couldn't shoot because of the camera light or position... I was very close to getting Mediterranean!!

We also shot a nice Muntjac buck at Ampton, along with the Ducks on London Hunter's day.

It should make for a great show but I'll leave the stories to Tim to tell.

Rgds,
Kiri

I didn't.

From the distinct "Woooo haaa! I killed the shit outta that one" I heard when it hit the floor it was either our American friend or the duck picked a very poor script writer for his final words.
