I have moved from California to Germany, and will now reside outside of Stuttgart in Kirchheim u. Teck. My residential belongings will be shipped from CA to here next January. I will have some mounts coming, my European Widgeon duck mount and my whitetail deer mount. Hopefully I will be able to add 2 wild pig mounts before then too. Will there be any problems bringing in finished mounts to Germany in my shipping container? Thanks in advance. Paul. Never use a cat's arse to hold a tea-towel.

Paul, I've moved a number of times across the pond with trophies, prepared skins, bird mounts, skull & shoulder mounts and have never had an issue. Cheers, Number 10

Unless the animal is listed with CITES and is indicated as endangered, no problem: Cites-Listings. Pigs, ducks and whitetail deer certainly do not require a license. Otter, wolf and beaver do, get obe from your Game and Wildlife office. Good luck in Kirchheim/Teck, nice little town, volcanoes and good hunting in the surrounding areas like the Suebian Alps.

Thanks a lot guys. I was a bit worried, especially since the whitetail I shot was the first deer I aimed a rifle at, and he is a beauty. Also, the European widgeon was one of onle 2 taken at our duck club in 35 years! My waterfowl taxidermist, Steve Eberhart, is a true artist, and it would break my heart to leave the duck behind.
