Gentlemen, I have been told that the Italian Sabatti company has started to make a side by side double rifle. Does anybody at the AR forum have any experience with Mr Sabattis doubles? /husky

I played with a 30-06 o/u double from Sabatti, it wasn't the nicest thing going, but at least as nice anything else costing E1300. I would buy one as a cheap alternative to a Beretta O/U or a Blaser O/U. I doubt Sabatti is going to make any big calibers. Those Sabatti single shot rifles area really beautiful. 1/3 the price of my Beloved K95 or Merkel and very nice.

Hi kokdyer, I havn't seen Sabattis sbs -but I hope they looks more like their single shot rifles than the o/u double! If The Sabatti sbs looks like Antonio Zoli "Savanah" sbs I think it would be a great buy. The Sabatti shall be prepared for scope mount so it wouldn't be necessary to have a € 800 calw mount installed. I think that 9,3x74R is the largest caliber aviable... Maybe we should try to have them to built a 450/400 N E version? The standard Sabatti Sbs costs about €1800 here in Sweden. If they could build a 450/400 N.E for €3500 -they would be able to sell hundreds of them Husky

Beware of Sabatti!!! Some reasons for not buying a Sabatti: A. Really bad work. B. To cheap material in the mecanism. The springs look like the springs in laundry pegs. C. You can't rely of the accuracy. D. Crappy safety - just a little badly filed bar. I have had a Sabatti shotgun. I was my first one, and I really hated that pair of water pipe tubes! Hi Fritz Kraut, Hmmm, It doesn't sounds to good... Torsbohandels got one in caliber 9,3x74R -but they refuses to send me some pictures of it. I will go to Italy in a couple of months and will pass by the Sabatti company -I'm considering to have a chat with them about the sbs double. Husky

I was looking at a Sabatti single shot in Germany last year. It looked fine on the outside, for the price. Anybody have one of those?
