Had a nice - albeit short - season past in France, at the same place I have been shooting for a number of years now. Its an incredible collection of people & a ton of fun. We hunt ~4,700 hectares in the East of France, with board, roe and red stag all open; its the only place I know (club type) where we can shoot mature stags in driven format.

I had the opportunity on the last day of my season last year to take the below stag - a true magnificent animal.

Nice stag. It is all ways enjoyable to travel to other places to hunt and see techniques that others use. I one day want to hunt stag but since I got engaged last week I think my trips will slow down or get more expensive to take the misses along.

And yes Kiri I did find a woman just crazy enough to put up with me. Beat you to the punch.

Bloody Hell Dave!! I saw the hoorah on Facebook and thought you had just found a girl friend.... I didn't realise you were getting hitched!!

Haven't announced the engagement yet waiting to get the ring that we had to order. Still in shock after leaving the jewelery store.

She does not hunt but she has been making some comments that she may want to try it. Looks like I will be the gun carryor.

I wish I could the the misses along for my hunts, then I could go more often. Even if she would want to shoot it I would be happy. You`re more lucky then you know
